For our Brussels office, we are looking for a Legal Secretary (m/v/x)

You will be part of our Office Support team, joining about 70 other legal secretaries in all practice areas and offices. As a legal secretary, you support our lawyers, civil-law notaries and/or tax advisers in their work.
What you'll be doing AKD has an excellent full-time (38 hours/week) opportunity for a Legal Secretary in our Brussels office. Are you the enthusiastic team player eager to support a number of lawyers working in international practice groups, providing high-quality, efficient and proactive services?
Your duties and responsibilities • Conducts correspondence and file management in complex and substantial dossiers, both paper and electronic, provides translations and engagement letters; • Maintains contact with the financial department, prepares drafts and sends out invoices, finalises matters; • Agenda management and CRM: sets up meetings, guards deadlines and action lists, manages mailboxes; • Manages document deliveries within the agreed and applicable time frames and dispatches and tracks final executed documentation; • Hospitality: Receives visitors, looks after catering, readies audio-visual equipment in meeting rooms; • Prepares and support Business Development and marketing events; Coordinates and organises seminars, workshops, meetings and event, manages social media use. What we're looking for To be a successful Service Desk Representative, you need to be fully in the know about matters playing and have a keen understanding of the legal practice. You are alert to the demands of the practice and contribute ideas, you have a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, and you are able to maintain a helicopter view of your own work and the work of the lawyers you support. You have a five-star service attitude and a pro-active and positive "can do" approach towards colleagues and clients. What you bring into the mix • You have at least a Bachelor Hogeschool (Belgium) or HBO (the Netherlands) diploma • A minimum of two to five years of experience as a legal secretary working in a law firm • Excellent command of written and spoken Dutch/English and French • Profound computer proficiency and considerable experience with MS Office • High degree of accuracy and client and service orientation
