For our Luxembourg office, we are looking for a (Junior) Associate Lawyer with 2-4 years of experience to strengthen our Banking and Finance team.
In our Luxembourg office, we count around 40 employees. You can define our culture as informal, hardworking but personal and sociable people who are easy to connect with.
As an Associate, you will support the management of files from A to Z, in direct contact with the Partners, and clients. You will participate in challenging and often cross-border matters, including amongst others, structured finance, real estate finance, acquisition finance, fund finance and securitisation transactions as well as regulatory related advice.
Our ideal candidate has:
a Master’s degree in Law from a European University and can show excellent academic records;
For more experienced lawyers: You have achieved the Bar in Luxembourg or an European Country (list IV) ;
2 to 4 years' experience in Banking and Finance department within an international or national law firm based in Luxembourg;
strong communication skills, adaptation skills, and problem-solving abilities;
is a team player, works efficiently with an entrepreneurial and commercial approach; and
ability to work in English and French
Job requirements
Responsibilities:
Managing Financial Transactions: Manage transactions end-to-end, under supervision and guidance from the Partners, coordinating negotiations, structuring, documentation, and execution.
Providing Strategic Legal Advice: Advise clients on all types of financing transactions and cross-border financing structures.
Drafting and Reviewing Financial Documentation: Prepare and review loan agreements, security packages, intercreditor arrangements, and refinancing structures. Ensure documentation aligns with commercial objectives and regulatory standards.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with specialists in corporate law, tax, funds, litigation, and restructuring to deliver integrated legal solutions across financial transactions.
Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to leading banks, financial institutions, sponsors, and borrowers. Understand their strategic goals and deliver bespoke legal and commercial advice tailored to their fit.
