Position
AKD is one of the largest law firms in the Netherlands, with a strong Benelux footprint. We have more than 550 lawyers, tax advisers and business support staff working from offices in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Breda, Eindhoven, Brussels and Luxembourg.
You are level-headed, enjoy taking on a challenge and do not rest until you've figured everything out!
At AKD, we want our business partners to be reliable and act with integrity. That is why our KYC processes have to be in sound working order. In addition, AML/ATF requirements impose an increasing demand on our organisation. The client onboarding process is a meticulous task. To manage it, we created the Client Acceptance Desk (CAD). The CAD handles the intake of new clients. Our CAD specialists request documents from clients, identify risks and conduct a most thorough client vetting process. They then issue advice to our lawyers and tax advisers. The importance of this client due diligence work of the CAD is only matched by its role in monitoring existing clients and its close collaboration with our Compliance department. Right now, eight analysts make up the CAD. There is room for more.
Are you a Customer Due Diligence expert? Do you want to help defend and grow AKD's excellent reputation? Then we'd love to welcome you as our new CDD Analyst!
As a Customer Due Diligence analyst,
- you will, first of all, get to know AKD's clients inside out;
- you process the flow of documents relating to a new client or matter;
- you perform client due diligence based on the information on hand;
- you are responsible for completing and keeping updated client dossiers;
- you know how to supplement information provided by our lawyers, civil-law notaries and tax advisers with data from other sources so all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place;
- you conduct periodic client reviews. If any documents are missing or incomplete, you notify the stakeholders and/or external parties involved;
- you and your team spread knowledge and awareness about compliance laws and regulations among your AKD colleagues;
- you support and mentor less experienced analysts on the team, and
- you compile risk profiles.
